Sundown Rally, 14th-16th of June.
I headed for the sundown rally on Friday
afternoon to put the tent. the up sun was shining, is summer here at last?
I spent the eve listening to the band and catching up with old and new friends. On
Saturday there was a ride out to cheddar which most of the Dutch went on while
the rest of us recovered from hang over’s. The children were entertained by the
ladies who turn up every year to do craft things with them. Max arrived just as
summer was over so it was now a game of dodge the rain by going to the tea tent
to talk rubbish, as everyone knows you can only talk rubbish in the tea tent.
Next up was a curry and more alcohol before the presentation of trophies, mine
won people’s choice, probably because they all heard it coming as the timing was
out. Sunday morning we managed to pack the tents in the dry and some lunatic,
sorry gentleman let me ride his trike round the field, I had been told trikes
were hard to turn but I had no problem, it was great fun!!! Shame I had to give
it back.
