Bristol Bike Show. 17th-August-2019.
At the crazy early time of 7:15 am Mike arrived at my house. Once all the gear loaded into his car we set of, with me following on my two wheels down to Corn street. Very soon after we arrived Max turned up and soon after the Gazeebo was set up and we started the important process of making the coffee. Max set of up the road to buy milk and it was only then that we realized that we had forgotten to bring the Calor Gas bottle. Dammit. Oh well we will have to buy our coffee all day then. Roger soon joined us and we sat down to watch the drizzle. Luckily the weather people had got it right and it dried up by 9 O'clock and within half an hour or so the trickle of punters had turned into a flood. It was packed. And it stayed that way all day. A fare few other branch members made appearances at one point or another and many other new faces stopped for a chat and to talk about what the club had to offer. If just 10% of them join up then the day will have been a roaring success. To be honest with a pretty much clear blue sky most of the day. Hundreds of great bikes to look at and a great bunch of people to chat to IT WAS a success anyway.
Our thanks to Bristol M.A.G. for organizing such a superb event.
