Meriden rally, 3-5th-August.
The Meriden rally 2018 started off well. We all meet up at the Cross Keys Pub. Darren, Mike, Max, Dennis, Mark, Ian, Jan, Malcolm, Richard and Paul. Andy and Neal were meeting us later at the rally. Our Journey to the site was problem free, we set up the tents and then headed for the tombola, with many prizes won, I still can't remember where I put them. Jan was trying to guide Andy in on the phone with little success so some of us went down to the ring road to flag him down, Once he was safely in and his tent was up we all went off for a drink or two. On Saturday the rideout was down to the triumph factory. Riding on some great roads. I got my camera ready for the tour of the factory we went around the factory and the cafe and all was good, once outside though I realised that it wasn’t filming, dam it. The tour was very interesting, seeing some top of the range triumphs being made and the engine's put together. Not a huge amount going on but maybe that was because it was a two week shutdown. Still, it was a good tour well worth going on. Back at the rally for some more silly business we gathered round to get the raffle tickets. I don't think we won anything but we did won a trophy for the most members at the rally. We gave it to Paul to Polish. Later we all sat round to Watch the NASA space station going over head. They didn't even wave, very rude. I didn't see Mark for while I think he was abducted, It's always a good weekend at Meriden, with a good band and great Company. Darren.
