The Bunny run. 10th-April.
Andy, Brian, Darren, Dennis, Jamie, Liz, Malcolm, Martin and Mand, Mike, Pat, Pete and Phil.
A magnificent 13 people on 12 bikes, Andy, Brian, Darren, Dennis, Jamie, Liz, Malcolm, Martin and Mand, Mike, Pat, Pete and Phil, answered the call to help marshal the run to the Children’s Hospice Southwest. We arrived at Fowlers at 9am and yes it was chilly. After a nice cup of tea/coffee we sat down to discuss the route and who was going to signpost which junction. After a decent amount of chat we made our way out of the carpark ably led by Pete. One by one Pete signalled where each person would be stationed till the whole route was covered. Then began the wait for the main ride to come through. While I was waiting a few passers by asked me if I had broken down and needed help. (Nice I thought) then in the distance I spied some bikes and through some expert pointing everyone managed to go in the correct direction. Once tail end Charlie, Mike passed me I joined the ride as did each one of us and we all made our way to the hospice. Things seemed to work well as all the riders managed to get there in one piece. We made our way back to Fowlers where Mike said he had a few things to do. (I think it was just to check his new bike) A very welcome Biker Breakfast was then consumed by most of the group before we made our way home. Another great ride with great people and for a change, really great weather.
